The first was the rod which became the rod of God. He said, "What's that in your hand?"
Moses said, "It's a rod."
God said, "Throw it down."
He threw it down and it became a serpent. And Moses departed. He fled from it. God told him to pick it up by the tail, and when Moses did, it became a rod once again. He said, "If they won't believe that sign, here is another sign. Put your hand on your heart within your vest." Moses' hand became leprous.
He said, "Put your hand back in," and it was healed again. Then he said, "If they won't believe these two signs, then they would beleive the thrids sign."
There was the turning of the water, which is life, to blood. Here's the principle. God's man will be used to help a people, the church. The church need some help. I am concerned about the lost, but the church needs to grow up so we that can help the world. When the church grows up that will produce the remnant that Acts 15 teaches is coming.
We need help.
The Church is guilty of the situation we read about in 1 Samuel 12:23 ,
1Samuel 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:We have been involved in the sin of not praying for God's people and not teaching them the good and right way. When we grow up we will pray for others instead of praying for ourselves all the time. We will teach others the good and right way, instead of seeking our own good.
We need Help!
So here is the sign. If I want to help bring hungry hurting Christians this is what I need to know.
The rod is a picture of redemption. I believe it is a picture of the redemptive work of Christ. It's a picture of humanity and what God wants to do with humanity. In Adam was this rod of God. The Bible says that Adam was the son of God. But this head of humanity fell. He is now the head of fallen humanity.
In John 3, Jesus said that as Moses lifted up that serpent in the wilderness, so must the son of man be lifted up. He identified with that serpent. And I believe that is a picture of how Christianity is going to bring man back into the place that they were created to be.
Here's what happens. When Jesus was brought to this earth He identified with fallen man through the process of time. That serpent represented the sin in humanity. So Christ identified with man as is represented by a serpent raised up that men might be healed of the serpent's venom. We can see here Moses as a type of Christ and reaches over and picks up what part of that serpent? The tail. The very end. The end of man. And he lifts it up and that whole serpent turns into that rod once again.
And I believe that is what God is about to do to the church. That is a picture of redemption. When Jesus was lifted up he turned back into the rod.
Jesus became one with sin, in order to swallow it up. Aaron's rod turns to a snake and swallows up the world's sin that the serpent produced.
Brothers and sisters, Jesus swallowed up any sin that you might be involved in, so that you don't have to be enslaved to it any longer.
The Bible says that when the rod turned into a serpent, Moses fled from it. The very message that the Moses' of this world need to preach is the very one from which that they are fleeing! They're fleeing from the thought of Jesus doing away with what we are, by identifying with what we were.
At the end of the second day, people are going to lift up that message and it's going to produce life! If they will believe that, God's power will move. If they won't believe what Jesus did, then He will raise up a Priesthood that is going to be pure again, praise God! It will be the "hand ministry." He wants a five-fold ministry for the purpose of teaching that message of man's original state of being right in God's eyes, but then being made sin, and then being made right again by redemption. If they won't believe that, there is nothing left but turning the life into death.
Exodus 4:8-9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign. And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour [it] upon the dry [land]: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry [land].There simply is no life if you reject this message. That's the message. If they won't believe that, there is nothing left. And talk about going to hell! There are people living on this earth with no life right now! They do not have God's life Zoe. Hell is separation from God.
The same thing is said in 1 Samuel 12:25 But! If you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.
Your king is whatever you have chosen instead of God!
After Jesus went through the three days and three nights, He set down at the Father's right hand and He gave gifts unto men. These ascension-gift ministries are Apostles, Prophets, Pastor's, Teachers, and Evangelists. They were for the perfecting of the saints and to bring the people of God into the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ. They were to bring people in.
If you haven't grasped what Jesus did for you, and as you, there is a ministry that will be able to share that truth with you. It's being brought forth in the world today. But if you won't listen, your life will be dried up and you will be swept away.
Folks, we are on our way to being a means of deliverance to the people of God. But we must bring our children and ourselves in.
God was going to kill Moses if he didn't bring his house in order first. He had not yet circumcised his own son.
How do we think we can win the world if we don't bring both our biological and spiritual family into this truth?
We have family who must hear this word, and you are the ones to bring it to them. We have church family who need to hear this word. They have gone back into the world. We have not prayed for them like we should have. We must do as Samuel said, "far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and right way."
If you're here and you have gone back into the world, then come back to the Father right now. He will restore you right where you are at. Stop and come back to Jesus.
If you don't do His will, what you are chasing will bring nothing to you. The world's pleasures are empty things. They will not profit you anything. They are nothing. The world's promises of love are filled with emptiness. They're like cotton candy. You take a bite and find nothing in your mouth! You take another bite and nothing!
You need Jesus. He has weight, and He brings life, and peace.
We must share this message for which people are dying. People are getting divorces, AIDS, children have no parents, children are being abused, and our babies are having babies. People are being murdered, and our children are in a world that is like Sodom and Gomorra, and it is getting hold of them. They are looking at the world, because they haven't seen anything in the church that will sustain them. We are getting another chance. They are going to turn and we are going to reflect the message. Amen!
God says, "I want you to grow up. I have been blessing you because I have a dying world out there, that needs me to appear in you."
That's what He wants!
Prayer: Oh God, change us. Cause us to mature. There are people all around us in our homes -- people whom we know must hear this good news. God, we will go forth, we will learn what you are showing us, so we can share it and bring people in and teach them to do what is right and good.
Help us to bring deliverance to Your people. God, we know you have chosen us, and that we have been In-Christed to go forth to bring deliverance.
