SEEING AND ENTERING

  Scripture Text:

Joh 3:1-5 KJV  There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:  (2)  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.  (3)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  (4)  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?  (5)  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

  Message:

Seeing and Entering are two phases of an experience of progress that God allows those who hunger after him to face.
  • He desires all to progress, but gives opportunity of this to people who reach out to Him and indicate to Him that they want His will.
  • But not everyone who is ready to progress actually ever does progress.
  • God shows us something before we enter into it, and it is a crisis point in varying ways to every person, since some react one way due to one reason, and others react another way due to other reasons.
  • But satan will be there working side by side with something in your very own life to make sure you do not ENTER the place God shows you to enter.

YOUR FLESH.

God always shows us something first before we enter it.
  • And he does not force you to enter it.
  • You have to make the decision about whether or not you will enter.

No steps are needed to SEE the thing God wants you to enter.
  • Except maybe to simply get God's attention that you want His will.
  • God shows nothing to people who do not show they desire His will.
  • But He shows his will to those who desire it.

The devil can rest in a lot of things since he started something in our own flesh that will do a lot of his work for him.
  • Our flesh in and of itself will lust and desire bad things.
  • And you work with the devil simply by letting your flesh do anything it wants to do.
  • We got that nature from eating the forbidden fruit and sinning in the Garden.

But a crisis occurs when see something and God wants us to enter it.
  • Mark it down, if God shows you something he wants you to enter it.
  • And he wants you to enter it THEN.
  • He lets a bit of time go by for it to sink in.
  • But he shows you before you are to enter.

Our flesh enjoys comfort.
  • And there is nothing wrong with that.
  • Its not a sin to desire freedom from pain and discomfort, unless it is God's will for you to suffer in certain situations, and that does happen.
  • But one of the comforts our flesh enjoys is FAMILIARITY.
  • When you are in a certain condition of your life long enough you will become familiar with it to the extent that you grow comfortable with it and do not want to leave it.
  • STRANGE TERRITORY causes us fear at times simply because it is unfamiliar territory.
  • But progress cannot occur if such a feeling of comfort is too strong and is favoured over a desire of another comfort.

There is another comfort that is spiritual and very good.
  • And it can be called a familiarity issue as well.
  • BEING IN THE WILL OF GOD.

If you ever get in the will of God, a comfort comes upon you that you re safe and you are free of the burden of not being right with God.

Never get comfortable outside of God's will.
  • And when God shows you something to enter, and you are d=comfortable where you are, that place you're in may have been God's;'s will at one time, but when time comes to progress to a higher level, God's will changes as to where you should be.
  • And you need to realize that holding to the comfort of familiarity in the place you are is going to sacrifice the BETTER comfort of being in the will of God.

WE MUST TRUST GOD.

TRUST is a big word.
  • It says a mouthful.
  • When you trust God enough, you know that sacrifice of the fleshly comfort of being in a certain place is better than sacrificing a WALK IN THE WILL OF GOD.
  • No matter how fearsome a destination appears, GOD IS WITH YOU IF HE WANTS YOU TO GO THERE.
  • I want to grow more comfortable with being in God's will than in anything else.
  • Being in God's Will is a state that keeps you beside God.
  • But when you put God second then the places he puts you in become more important, and you can grow to like that place more than God, Himself.
  • And when God leaves you as He goes forward, then you remain without him in comfort of the thing rather than comfort of being WITH GOD.

There are two aspects of our lives that stand out in these times.

FLESH and SPIRIT.

Comfort is enjoyable in any form.
  • But some comfort only lasts a temporary time.

2Co 4:18 KJV  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Heb 11:25 KJV  Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

We need to cater to the things of the Spirit.
  • We need to run to every single beck and call of the spirit.
  • To walk after the spirit.
  • And even when the flesh would cry out about discomfort, we need to ignore that and cater only to the will of God.
  • Too many cater to every whim of their flesh.
  • Flesh will lead you to destruction.
  • Get that in your head.

Rom 8:5-6 KJV  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  (6)  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

We all want joy.
  • Isn't is far more wise to obtain a kind of joy that never ends?

Mat 6:19-21 KJV  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  (20)  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:  (21)  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

When God shows us a realm to enter, He wants us to enter it then.
  • He will anoint, and show and reveal and spark your spirit to life about it.

But a crisis comes because you must leave familiarity with your present condition and situation in order to go into this higher one.
  • And you flesh will kick and scream.

A lot of religion holds many traditions that came neither from God nor the Bible.
  • Some it simply mistaken or incorrect interpretations of bible, and others are simply man-made additions that people thought God would bless even if He did not say do it.
  • But traditions are things people hold onto for generations.
  • And because of that, people become COMFORTABLE with them, even though they could be very much incorrect.

And when God sees a hunger, he knows it is going to be a risk when He shows you things you never saw before and desires you to enter them, because you could very well decide to not break your comfort and stay where you are.

Num 13:1-2 KJV  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,  (2)  Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

Before Israel would enter Canaan, GOD SHOWED IT TO THEM.

And two reactions existed showing two elements in you and what each element desires.

Num 14:1-8 KJV  And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.  (2)  And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!  (3)  And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?  (4)  And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.  (5)  Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.  (6)  And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:  (7)  And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.  (8)  If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

We all have those ten spies and Joshua and Caleb inside us.

TWO VOICES.

Expect Withdrawals from leaving your comfort zone when God calls you forward.
  • People's bodies become so accustomed to nicotine they inhale in the form of smoke that they will go through body wrenching withdrawals if they ever want to quit.
  • Same goes with anything the flesh gets addicted to.
  • EVEN RELIGIOUS ERRORS.

They saw giants and walls so thick around the cities, they knew a fight was due to come.
  • BUT JOSHUA SAID GOD IS WITH US!

Faith that God is with us will remove all fear.
  • And it will cause us to let go of fleshly comfort.

But the problem exists in lives when they do not know enough of the benefits of going forward with God.
  • We are so familiar with the fleshly comforts and benefits of following the flesh, and the world pumps it out to us all the time.
  • But you do not learn of the spiritual benefits of going on with God all the time.
  • f;fleshliness hits your face every moment of the day in the world during work and driving down the road.
  • But if you want to get God's Word about His will, you have to come to church, and not juts any church.
  • You need a church that actually teaches \and preaches God's information.
  • Not just sings and claps hands and feels good.

You may know its best to do God;'s will due to a simple knowledge anyone really knows anyway.
  • But to actually list all the benefits is not going to happen unless you get some goo d teaching,m and TAKE IT IN.
  • When you know the benefits of the will of God, you know it is eternal joy, and flesh joy does not last.
  • You learn that God is there beside you all the time to bless, but fleshly joy causes God to abandon you and you are on your won when trouble comes.
  • People favour the fleshly benefits all the time.

TWO ASPECTS... you see, you not only have to SEE God's destination, but SEE WITH THE CORRECT FACULTIES.

Gen 8:4-12 KJV  And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.  (5)  And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.  (6)  And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:  (7)  And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.  (8)  Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;  (9)  But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.  (10)  And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;  (11)  And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.  (12)  And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.

The raven went back and forth.  v. 7.

The dove went out and straight back in.
  • Noah immediately knew what means to trust.
  • SPIRIT and NOT FLESH.
  • The flesh can pop up and volunteer to be our eyes and help us decide what to do.
  • But if Noah had followed the direction of the raven, that eats dead bodies and rotting corpses, he would have opened the door of the ark and drowned them all out.
  • But the dove would not have any of that.
  • It could not rest in what the flesh can rest in.

Fleshly people jump in and out of God's will.
  • Back and forth, double minded, unstable in all ways.
  • Cannot be consistent.
  • Changes it mind like the rave going back and forth.

Gen 8:7 YLT  and he sendeth forth the raven, and it goeth out, going out and turning back till the drying of the waters from off the earth.

Be honest and see ho flesh shifts and wavers.

Jam 1:6-7 KJV  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  (7)  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Legalism is attachment to flesh.
  • There is not much of the miraculous amongst legalists,.
  • They are too attached to flesh and trust and live in it than for them to trust in God to see miracles, because flesh cannot do miracles.
  • And legalists even mock and blaspheme acts of miraculous.
  • And legalists are comfortable ion their rules and laws.
  • And when rules and laws become that entrenched that you make your religion out of them all, then that is A LOT OF ATTACHMENT TO FLESH.
  • Legalism is a spirit that quenches progress.
  • You cannot trust God in legalism because trust in God is something the flesh cannot do.
