Psalms 110:1-2  The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.  (2)  The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

If he sits UNTIL his enemies are made his footstool, then that means enemies exist while he rules.
•    That’s why we read he RULES in the midst of his enemies.

Something else happens while he rules!

Zec 6:13  Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Heb 8:1  Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

He is high priest WHILE on the throne!

Last week we saw the candlesticks in the Holy Place light the way to the veil covering the most holy place where the ark of the covenant was hidden.
•    This Ark of the Covenant stood for the throne of God in heaven.

Last week we talked about the VEIL in the temple and the tabernacle.

Matthew 27:50-51  Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.  (51)  And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, the veil ripped in heaven that blocked access to the Ark of the covenant.
•    This place of God’s holiest presence was VEILED and then UNVEILED when Jesus died, letting us know WE CAN COME CLOSE TO GOD’S PRESENCE NOW.

Hebrews 9:7  But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

Hebrews 6:19-20  Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;  (20)  Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 10:19-22  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,  (20)  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;  (21)  And having an high priest over the house of God;  (22)  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

The veil is speaking of Jesus’ flesh.
•    When His flesh died, the veil opened.
•    A DOOR OPENED!

People need an unveiling to come to Jesus.
•    Hearts of people must believe.
•    But the HEART, like the most holy place, is veiled.
•    And when the heart is unveiled, OUR HEART IS OPENED FOR HIM!

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

2 Corinthians 3:15-18  But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.  (16)  Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.  (17)  Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  (18)  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Like the glory was behind the veil on the ark of the covenant, our hearts are unveiled so we can behold the glory of the Lord.

Put this altogether and we see that His KINGDOM is interconnected with ATONING FOR PEOPLE’S SINS.

When People get an UNVEILING or REVELATION of the glory of Jesus on the throne, INCREDIBLE FORGIVENESS IS MADE KNOWN.

Luke 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

As the ROMANS and JEWS schemed together to crucify the Lord, after the religious Jews made sure they crucified Jesus and not spared Him instead of Barrabas, Jesus prayed for their forgiveness.
•    And how can Christians hate Jews when Jesus prayed for the Jews’ forgiveness?

He was buried three days, walked in resurrection power 40 days then ascended into heaven.

Mark 16:19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

That’s the throne He’d rule from in Psalm 110.
•    The throne where He’d also be priest.

Acts 2:22-41  Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:  (23)  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  (24)  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.  (25)  For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:  (26)  Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:  (27)  Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.  (28)  Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.  (29)  Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.  (30)  Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;  (31)  He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.  (32)  This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.  (33)  Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.  (34)  For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,  (35)  Until I make thy foes thy footstool.  (36)  Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.  (37)  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  (38)  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  (39)  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.  (40)  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  (41)  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

The very Jews of Jerusalem!
•    INCREDIBLE FORGIVENESS!

Romans!

Acts 10:1  There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

Acts 10:42-43  And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.  (43)  To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Acts 10:44-45  While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.  (45)  And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Every time the RIGHT HAND THRONE and KINGDOM was mentioned, INCREDIBLE FORGIVENESS happens!

Acts 7:54-60  When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.  (55)  But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly INTO HEAVEN, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,  (56)  And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.  (57)  Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,  (58)  And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.  (59)  And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.  (60)  And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

THEN READ THE NEXT VERSE.

Acts 8:1  And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

And in Acts 9 Jesus appears to Paul in bright light and throws him on the ground, and tells him to go to Damascus and see Annanias.

HE GETS SAVED!

THE ringleader of the persecution against the church!

INCREDIBLE FORGIVENESS!

When heaven’s opened to us, UNVEILED… we really come to an understanding  of God’s forgiveness.
•    And we pray for their forgiveness, and God goes to work and throws their souls to the floor and they cry out for Him!

We’ll forgive ANYONE no matter what they’ve done to us.
•    And God will move mountains and heaven to forgive those people!
