"MULTIPLYING THE LIGHT"

John 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Matt 5:14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Jesus came forth as the light of the world, and He also indicated that His church is the light of the world.

Hebrews Reads that Jesus Christ is the BRIGHTNESS OF GOD'S GLORY.

Adam was planned to be the light of the world. As we know, Adam failed. Since Jesus is the Light and is the brightness of God's glory, and then said that we are the light of the world, we understand that we are also the brightness of God's glory now. New Jerusalem is mentioned in Revelation.
Revelation 21:23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.
The glory of God lit the City and the LAMB IS THE LIGHT THEREOF. The City also had walls of JASPER.
Revelation 21:10-11  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Revelation 21:18  And the building of the wall of it was [of] jasper: and the city [was] pure gold, like unto clear glass.

And we read that God's glory appeared as JASPER earlier in Revelation.

Revelation 4:3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and [there was] a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
All of these points say the same thing. Anything that is good about is is that which we received from being in union with Jesus. Jesus is seen in Revelation 1 as being metallic. Notice that Paul the apostle says, of all the works we do while Christians, the only works that will reward us anything are the works described symbolically as gold, silver and precious stones.

1 Corinthians 3:12-15  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Wood hay and stubble depict the things we did that did not promote the things of God in this world. Notice that the metallic elements and precious stones depict efforts to do God's work in this world are the only things that can endure fire. All of this is saying the same message. Only two individuals will receive the inheritance of the promise to Abraham. There is no room for Muhammad or Buddha. What about believers? It is the same idea: That is why we read that the seed of the woman would bruise the serpent's head (Genesis 3:15) and why Paul said:
Gene 3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Roma 16:20  And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

We are in union with THE SEED, JESUS. Jesus was made COMPLETE through sufferings.
Hebrews 2:9-10  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
"Perfect through sufferings" means "complete through sufferings". One source of light walked the earth before the cross. Adam was incomplete after the rib was removed. People see God through Jesus and us!

He is the express image of God's person.

His death was the lifting up of Him on the cross. But when we united with Jesus, we are the light of the glory of God. We SHINE God into the world by loving one another. You cannot see without its beams of light. You are so in union with Jesus when you are baptized into His death (Rom. 6:3) that to downgrade yourself after salvation is to completely miss the work that God did in your life when He saved you. People are too mindful of the entity they used to be, and do not appreciate the absolute transformation God performed with their lives. Stop looking at each other by their former lives before salvation. What this means is that we must COMPLETE holiness. He is glorious so we must shone forth His glory.
Isaiah 60:1  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
As Moses saw the glory of God and SHONE forth to the people, so much so that they had to veil his face, Gods glory has risen upon us and WE MUST SHINE. The light we have is originated in God. We are in union with Jesus. Materialize God through the things you do for Him. New Jerusalem came down with God's glory and the nations came and walked in the light of it.
Revelation 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:10-11  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Revelation 21:23-24  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Let's "come down to earth" and let the world see our light. He did not make you light to hide your light underneath your own desires and things you want to do in the flesh. If churches will not shine forth God's light, and instead shine forth their self-righteusness, look at what God said He would do.
Revelation 2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
A candlestick is meant to SHINE FORTH LIGHT. Let us repent and start to SHINE!!!
