"CHRIST WAS MADE A CURSE FOR US"

Gala 3:1-140 For as many as are
of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed
[is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the
book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in
the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And
the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for
us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree: That
the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ;
that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Jame 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore
to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Jesus suffered for us on the cross so that we would be freed from the
curses spoken about in the Bible that people of the world suffer.
We need to find out what He suffered so that we would be freed from
it.
-
Not all things we suffer are things we have to put up with.
-
If the Bible says we must resist the devil then that means the devil is
doing some things that we will suffer unless we do something about it.
-
If you do not resist, he will throw things on you that you have no need
of suffering.
THE DEFEAT OF THE DEVIL MUST BE ENFORCED BY YOU.
Jesus defeated the devil on the cross.
-
But just as there is a law today that forbids crime, there is law enforcement
that enforces that law.
-
Devil is defeated.
-
But the devil is going to try things.
-
It is against the law to steal, but there are still thieves.
-
Same with the devil.
-
He is defeated BUT WE MUST ENFORCE HIS DEFEAT.
Jesus died and redeemed us from the curse.
-
But the devil is going to try to make us suffer the curses anyhow.
-
So we ENFORCE THE LAW OF GOD.
In Deuteronomy 28:15-44 we read a list of the curses of the law.
-
Jesus redeemed us from each of these.
-
If you are suffering anything listed in this list, then you need to understand
that you don't have to.
-
Jesus redeemed you from those things.
These include poverty and SICKNESS.
-
All kinds of sickness.
-
We are redeemed from sickness.
-
Sickness is not the cross you have to bear and put up with.
-
That is a lie from the devil that God wants us to be sick.
-
Jesus redeemed us from these things!
These curses came upon those who were disobedient.
Deut 28:15 But it shall come to
pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe
to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day;
that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
We were disobedient.
-
But He suffered the curse for us.
Dont let anybody tell you that sickness belongs to you.
Anybody that ever came to Him were healed.
But there are some things we must suffer that we were not redeemed from.
-
But these are not curses.
TEMPTATION
Jame 1:12 Blessed [is] the man
that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown
of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
PERSECUTION
2Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will
live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
AFFLICTION
2Cor 4:17 For our light affliction,
which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal
weight of glory;
WRONGFUL TREATMENT FROM OTHERS
1Pet 2:20 For what glory [is it],
if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but
if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye take it patiently, this [is]
acceptable with God.
REPROACH
Acts 5:41 And they departed from
the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to
suffer shame for his name.
You need to distinguish what is of God and what is not.
-
What you must suffer and what you do not have to suffer.
-
You need to know what Jesus bore for you on the cross.
-
It is not God's will for you to suffer the things listed in Deut 28:15-44.
-
God will not have you suffer something that Jesus suffered for you.
You might ask that if we are redeemed from sickness then why are so many
saints sick?
-
Same with sin
-
We are redeemed from sin, but yet many saints sin on occasion.
-
The problem is that we need to grow and and understand some
things.
-
If we suffer these things, then we must realize there are some things we
need to learn.
Prov 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they [are] life unto those that
find them, and health to all their flesh.
HEALTH in the Hebrew also means MEDICINE.
-
You put medicine in you when you are ill.
-
We must put God's words IN US and live by them.
-
His word can only do its work if it gets inside of us.
-
Make it a part of you.
Our body is designed to ward off disease by becoming immune to it.
-
When I was young my parents had the doctor give me immunity needles to
make my system immune to certain diseases.
-
And the process was actually putting a little of that disease in my system
to start my system to form an immunity against it.
-
So that when the disease hit me later, my system was already to defeat
it because at an earlier time my system had that disease put into it and
it formed an immunity.
I am one Body with Christ.
-
He, my Body, took the disease of sin and the curses, and made The Body
immune to it.
-
So today, I am immune to these things.
-
But this immunity only works by faith.
-
You have to enforce your right to redemption from it after you are redeemed.
Before you get sick, know the truth.
-
Be already to defeat the sickness.
-
It is not God's will for us to get sick and run to healing crusades
when we need ot be healed.
-
It is God's will for us TO LIVE IN HEALTH.
-
Not to wait until we have the sickness to be healed of it.
-
It is God's will for us to LIVE IN HEALTH so that sickness is defeated
as soon as it tries to attack us.
Noah's ark rested on a mountain called ARARAT.
-
The name ARARAT means literally, "the curse is reversed".
-
Jesus is the ARK.
-
INSIDE OF HIM, we must REST on the fact that the CURSE IS REVERSED.
-
But it is ONLY IN HIM that we can rest upon that fact.
-
In other words, we claim freedom from the curse because of HIS WORK IN
REDEEMING US FROM THE CURSE WHEN HE WAS MADE A CURSE FOR US when He died
on the cross.
We do not fight against flesh and blood.
-
Satan used Herod to kill John the Baptist.
-
What did Jesus do to retaliate?
Matt 14:10-14 And he sent, and beheaded
John in the prison. And his head was brought in a charger, and given to
the damsel: and she brought [it] to her mother. And his disciples came,
and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus. When Jesus
heard [of it], he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and
when the people had heard [thereof], they followed him on foot out of the
cities. And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved
with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
Jesus hit Satan, not Herod.
-
Jesus knew that Satan was the culprit.
-
So Jesus hit Satan's power of sickness by healing people of all their sicknesses.
If People hurt you, attack the real culprit, Satan.
You have power over those spirits that affect people and use them for
evil.
-
Use your authority over these spirits.
God's people are destroyed for reason of a lack of knowledge.
-
Know your freedom and ENFORCE IT!
