"LET THE WORD BECOME YOUR FLESH"

1Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

John 1:1-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light. [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word had life in Himself (v. 4)

The same Word that created all things when God SPOKE in Genesis 1.
There was power in that WORD.
And In the WORD was LIFE.
That is the POWER inside it.
This LIFE in the WORD was called the LIGHT OF ALL MEN.

Prov 20:27 The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Psal 18:28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

Man's spirit is the candle.

The Word held within itself the LIGHT of all men.
All men need this Light of the WORD.
Your spirit is supposed to be lit with this LIGHT, this fire, from the word.
That is why when you get the WORD of God inside you, not just in your memories but IN YOUR SPIRITS, it burns in you.
2 Cor 3 says that your heart is veiled, and when the heart turns to the Lord, the veil is removed and the GLORY of the Lord enters your heart and changes you into the same image.
In other words, you open your spirit and the fire of the light of God lights your candle, and you have His light inside you which light was inside Jesus.

The WORD contained LIFE in itself.

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

That Life inside was the fire and the light that all people need inside them.

John 1:9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Every person will have that light exposed to them.

But 2 Cor 3 says that we must be OPEN in order to let that light come inside us.
People do not open up to it.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

If you open your heart to Him and let the Light shine into you, you receive power to become a son of God.

The WORD preached to you by a person filled with the Holy Ghost, is just as powerful as when God SPOKE A WORD in Genesis 1 and created a new world.
It will give you power to become a sons of God.
And that means a new world will be created.
He'll create you anew, inside and out.

Let us go back a bit.

That WORD was in the beginning and had LIFE in itself for all of time.
When no people existed, that WORD was spoken and it had LIFE to the extent that it created other life!
But since man came along that Word was manifested so that Man could relate to it and take it in.
It went beyond SOUND WAVES, but became a form that man could put inside himself.
Man could EAT IT!
God put a tree of LIFE in the Garden.
And Man was to pluck a fruit off the branches and eat the fruit of life.

Man received another fruit instead.

It was not until millennia later that the WORD once again was used by God.
It went further than sound waves and even further than fruit.
This time the WORD BECAME FLESH.
And the WORD DWELT AMONG US!!!
It lived where we live and in the same way we live!
The WORD OF GOD existed in a HUMAN BODY.

God saw that man made a mistake and took the fake fruit, so God had a plan whereby man would receive a greater benefit of understanding what his role was.

God wanted man to have the LIFE of GOD in man when He gave man a fruit of life to eat.
But man was shown another fruit instead by the devil.
So this time, God makes it even more clearer and that LIFE is not simply in the form of a fruit we can eat, but in the form of a HUMAN BEING.
And we see a human person walking and living with GOD'S LIFE INSIDE HIM.
And that man is saying things like, "I can of my own self do nothing. The Father in me He doeth the mighty works that you see me do."

Ahhhh....

It becomes much more understandable.
Not only are we seeing something physical with LIFE in it, but this time, we see a man with that Life in Himself, and we see Him doing the things that, if we look carefully enough, and catch his words enough, WE CAN DO IF WE HAD THAT SAME LIFE IN US!!!

You would not see that so clearly in simply looking at fruit.

Look at the fruit.
It is alive.
It has life in itself.
But THIS TIME when the word is manifested, it is much more than fruit.
By seeing the SAME WORD manifest AS FLESH, and see that human person doing incredible things, and attributing it all to the FATHER inside Him, is to want to have that kind of life in us as well!
For we now know why God wanted to have this life inside us!

The first thing the WORD did was make Light when God created it.

John is showing us all the former manifestations of THE WORD and saying that God took it even further with Jesus Christ.
This WORD that became flesh of the SON OF GOD, is the same WORD that first was simply SPOKEN.
It was the WORD that was in the form of a fruit of life after that, for John said The word was LIFE.
It was even the same word that created LIGHT, because somehow inside that WORD was light that God transmitted through a spoken word, which WORD blasted wide open and became LIGHT to lighten a darkness in which no light existed before.

2Cor 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

That WORD went on into a darkness that covered the waters and the deep of the world.

And when that word got inside that darkness....
When that Word penetrated into the dank regions of coldness...
Those sound waves flowed like ripples of water into darkness, and suddenly it burst open and changed into LIGHT.
And LIGHT SHONE OUT OF DARKNESS.
Right in the middle of darkness, light shone out!

The same light got inside our hearts.

And that light was in the WORD.
The WORD had life inside itself.
And that WORD slipped into our hearts.
And once inside our hearts IT SHINED IN OUR HEARTS.
It got in there and exploded once inside and LIGHT CAME OUT of darkness once again.

He so much wanted that light to shine out of your heart's darkness rather than the darkness of the world in Genesis.

But the same way He would shine in our hearts is the way He chose to shine in darkness in Genesis.

The only way we could truly see the WORD'S LIFE was for that word to become flesh.

After reading about LIFE being in the word.... (so what? it was locked inside and we could not see it).
After reading about that LIFE being the LIGHT of all men... to light them like fire lights a candle...(So what? It was inside the word and we could not see it)
We then read...

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

When the WORD was made flesh, it exploded into light.

Jesus came right into the middle of an Israel turned bad and dark.
...Right into an Israel whose priests were corrupted and the religion used to rule people.
And the LIGHT within that word was MADE VISIBLE!!!

When it dwell among us as a man, WE THEN BEHELD HIS GLORY.

Praise God is was "viewable."
Oh, the WORD still was SPOKEN.
But this time it was spoken as well as made flesh.
And when Jesus spoke, the people felt something.

Matt 7:28-29 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as the scribes.

Matt 22:33 And when the multitude heard [this], they were astonished at his doctrine.

Mark 1:27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine [is] this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Demons go stark raving mad when the WORD OF GOD is spoken.

The same word that pierced the darkness and exploded light within the dank filth of evil, is now flesh and a man, and walks and talks amidst their very accomplishments of having corrupted the people of God in Israel!
And God manifested in flesh, because the WORD IS GOD, and shined forth in the invisible realms, as much as light shined forth in the midst of darkness.

Jesus walked into a temple turned into a den of thieves.

Serpents and vipers live in dens.
And right in the middle of a house of God turned wrong, into a nest of snakes, Jesus SPEAKS THE WORD.
"MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER."
That is a picture of what the WORD does when it is allowed to get inside the person who opens up to Him.
He goes inside them as a WORD, and this LIVING WORD, goes to work inside us.
It flips over the tables that the devil has waged your life away upon.
He throws the currency and coins that were exchanged to make merchandise of your soul.
Where the devil ripped you off and sold your soul for a mess of pottage, Jesus walks in and wreaks havoc of all the devils commerce!
And he sets you free.

But the best is yet to come!

When you open your heart to the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ, that WORD explodes in LIFE and LIGHT to you.
And we read in John 1:12

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

You receive the same LIFE in you that was in Him.

The same POWER in you that gives you a right to be called the sons of God.
Satan goes absolutely berserk when another christian finally is taught why they have the Holy Ghost life inside them.
The seed gets into your heart and that life reacts with your heart that believes, and causes you to be actually crucified, buried, resurrected and ascended with Him.
You are suddenly joined with Him.
And you are now a child of God, too.
A Son of God

We become vessels of what was contained in the word.

We now hold what the answer to every man is!
That is why Jesus said we would be witnesses of Him.
We receive power to become sons of God (John 1:12) and we receive power to be witnesses unto Him (Acts 1:8)!!
Bless God, we have HIS POWER in us!!!

We believe upon His name.

We open our hearts and take in the light.
And now He wants to live in us!
It was in Him and we received what was in Him only after He was manifest in flesh, like us, and we could see what it does inside a human person.
Now we are containers of that power.
We "temple" (we "house") that glory!
You BEHOLD the Glory, then you CONTAIN the Glory!
"We have this treasure in earthen vessels."

The key is to open your heart wide open.

We are to bring forth this Jesus from our lives, now, as well.

Yes, do exactly what He did.
