SPIRITUAL DESIRE BRINGS SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY

Genesis 6:7-8 KJV And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I
have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the
creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I
have made them. (8) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the
LORD.
Noah followed through with all God required of him, when the rest of
the entire world was caught away in wickedness and sinful pleasure.
· He was diligent.
· He found grace in God’s eyes and God
set forth to have him build an Ark according to certain specifications.
· 50 cubits wide, 30 cubits high and 300
cubits long.
· 50 is the number of liberty and Pentecost.
· 30 is maturity – and height is aptly
related to that.
· 300 speaks of the minority, and Noah’s
house and the creatures were certainly the minority, but all God needs
to start all over again.
Noah already served the Lord.
· He was going further into a new world.
· A storm had to occur.
· Times pass in our lives when we find grace
in God’s eyes, and He sets forth directions for us to follow to
be where He wants us to be.
· Hardship is always part of the plan.
Noah’s faith is stretched.
· Any new realm God is leading you into
requires more faith than what you exerted in the past.
· Noah does not get one single bit of physical
evidence to confirm the word about the flood.
· JUST THE WORD OF GOD.
· He built an ark by faith.
The ark had no rudder, nor helm.
· God was guiding this ship.
· One window is all that existed, and looking
out across the waters would not have helped whatsoever.
· But after time, MOUNTAINTOPS would be all
that were visible.
· Imagine coming into a world where your frame
of reference becomes mountaintops!
· You actually can relate to life by the
mountaintops you’ve known and experienced.
· All else is buried.
· But you still are not controlling the course.
· God is.
And the Ark rests on the MOUNTAINS OF ARARAT.
· Several and more than one.
· Mountains of the CURSE IS REVERSED.
· What a realm to be in!
· The curse reversed brings REST.
Gold remembered Noah.
· That conscious act of God’s mind
caused the waters to decrease.
· He made a wind blow.
· The decrease of the waters was not realized
until mountains were seen.
Noah was unable to see anything yet.
· The Ark had a covering which seems to be the
window.
The world is out there and he wants out.
There is an element of stepping forth and acting that is required.
· The door is shut.
· God closed it.
· Noah can’t open the door.
· What does he do?
· The ark is sitting there.
· Noah knows something is afoot!
· He thinks, “If I cannot open a door I
will open a window!”
He took the feeling of the ark’s resting as indication the new
world was closer.
God wants to bring us to a new level, represented by this new world.
Genesis 8:6 KJV And it came to pass at the end of forty days,
that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
Genesis 8:7 KJV And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to
and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
To get further signs from God the raven must be removed.
· The fleshliness.
· It feeds upon death and it never returned
after it left the ark.
· Then the dove of the SPIRIT was released.
· This really marks Spirit leading.
The dove returns.
· It found no rest.
· Noah’s name means REST.
· Our rest would be where the Spirit finds it
for us.
He released it again and it returned with am olive leaf.
· NOAH TOLD HIS FAMILY TO PACK THEIR BAGS!
· Getting ready to move out!
· THE STORM IS OVER!
“But, dad, you only have a leaf!”
“But a leaf, means a tree. And a Tree means a Land ready to
dwell upon.”
He understood that this little signal from the dove was a powerful
message from the Spirit of God!
We have to become sensitive to interpret the signs God gives us.
Noah was stuck in an Aquatic Zoo, and removed the raven from the
equation, and became sensitive to the Spirit by sheer virtue of hunger
for God’s next level!
The storm was over.
· It lasted a year!
· And a world was awaiting him.
The dove was held for another seven days, and released, and it never
returned again.
· It found REST!
Genesis 8:13-19 KJV And it came to pass in the six hundredth and
first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters
were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the
ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
(14) And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of
the month, was the earth dried. (15) And God spake unto
Noah, saying, (16) Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife,
and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee. (17) Bring
forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh,
both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth
upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be
fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. (18) And Noah went
forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:
(19) Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and
whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out
of the ark.
Noah left!
Genesis 8:20-22 KJV And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and
took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt
offerings on the altar. (21) And the LORD smelled a sweet
savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the
ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is
evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing
living, as I have done. (22) While the earth remaineth,
seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day
and night shall not cease.
Genesis 9:1-2 KJV And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said
unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
(2) And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every
beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that
moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your
hand are they delivered.
Compare with:
Genesis 1:28 KJV And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and
have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Dominion and rulership.
