  Scripture Text:

Revelation 1:5-6 KJV  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,  (6)  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 1:5-6 mentions two elements that were accomplished by the blood of Jesus Christ.

There are two times JOHN was in the SPIRIT and two times he was carried away in the Spirit.

But the two times he was in the Spirit are listed below:

Revelation 1:10-13 KJV  I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,  (11)  Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.  (12)  And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;  (13)  And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Revelation 1:17-18 KJV  And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:  (18)  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Revelation 4:1-2 KJV  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.  (2)  And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Revelation 5:6-10 KJV  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.  (7)  And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.  (8)  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.  (9)  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;  (10)  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

These two times in the Spirit parallel the two times people were on HOLY GROUND in the story of the EXODUS.

Moses was on holy ground before they entered the wilderness at the start of Exodus and saw God in a burning bush when God told him many things including how a LAMB'S DEATH would set Israel free from Egyptian bondage.

Joshua was on holy ground before they LEFT the wilderness, and saw an angel of God tell him to take seven trumpets and the ark and cross Jordan and take down Jericho.

The two experiences of Moses and Joshua on holy ground correspond to the two times John was in the Spirit.

The first encounter with Moses showed God in a burning bush with branches on fire, and God telling him about the Lamb's passover death to free Israel.

Hebrews 2:14-15 KJV  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  (15)  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

The second picture of Joshua on holy ground involved the warrior angel telling him to get seven trumpets made from a ram and the ark and conquer Jericho.

God wants to save us from sin and get victory over bondage of fear of death AND THEN TO GROW and live like Kings and Priests in order to conquer satan and his influence in our world.

We showed last time that the CONNECTION TO JESUS is represented by Him in the middle of seven branch shaped candlesticks.

Exodus 15:25 KJV  And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

We need to draw from Jesus' power over everything and use that power to deal with the bitter waters of our lives.

Numbers 21:8 KJV  And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

John 3:14 KJV  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

All of these events and more show us how we can apply the truths of the cross that Jesus used to save us to our troubled situations in life.

And we are meant to USE THAT POWER.

Most only get the revelation of Moses at the Burning bush.

1 John 5:4 KJV  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

BORN OF GOD is like saying a BRANCH IS GROWN ON A TREE.

To see what you have going for you, you must see what is true of Jesus.

EXAMPLE:

Revelation 2:8-10 KJV  And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;  (9)  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.  (10)  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Some of These people would be killed.

Revelation 12:9-11 KJV  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.  (10)  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  (11)  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Picture the dragon as Pharaoh in this chapter, and you will see amazing parallels with the Exodus as you read the entire 12th chapter of Rev.

Revelation 19:10 KJV  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

These believers overcame the devil by THE LAMB'S BLOOD and THEIR TESTIMONY'S WORD.

How does this make sense?

We can see this illustrated here:

Exodus 12:21-23 KJV  Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.  (22)  And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.  (23)  For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

We have slain lamb's blood shed.

A Basin in which the blood is.

A hyssop branch to apply the blood.

A door of their homes to apply the blood on.

We know that the LAMB is JESUS.

THE BASIN REPRESENTS THE WORD OF GOD.

Now, we're going to show you that the BLOOD OF JESUS BEING SHED was not just to get you out of hell and for you to struggle and be defeated all your life until you go to heaven, like most people think it is.

So the BLOOD is the truths of the work of Jesus on the cross.

1 Kings 4:33 KJV  And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

Many times CEDAR and HYSSOP and SCARLET were bundled together and used in various rituals in the Old Testament.

Psalms 51:7 KJV  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Like using hyssop to apply the blood to the door of the Hebrews, HYSSOP us used to clean us... obviously the blood of Jesus is considered here since HYSSOP was used to apply lamb's blood to doors.

Putting the hyssop into the basin of blood and striking it on the door represents TAKING THOSE TRUTHS AND MAKING THEM YOUR TESTIMONY!

You need to take what the bible says Jesus did for you through the cross and saving you, and SPEAK THEM OUT and OVERCOME THE DEVIL.

If the Bible says you are more than a conqueror through salvation, then you need to SAY YOU ARE, and use that truth against the devil.

If the bible says you are a new creature, then you need to SAY YOU ARE, and use it against the devil when he tries to say you're no good.

If the bible says you are seated with Christ over all powers and principalities, then you need to SAY YOU ARE and tell the devil you command him to go in Jesus' name.

If the bible says you can lay hands on the sick and see them recover, then you need to SAY YOU CAN, and do it!

Psalms 107:2-7 KJV  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;  (3)  And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.  (4)  They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.  (5)  Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.  (6)  Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.  (7)  And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Exodus started with freedom from bondage in Egypt to entering the Promised land and have their own City called Jerusalem.

When you begin you cannot fight anything, so God fights for you.

Exodus 14:13-14 KJV  And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.  (14)  The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

But when you mature and enter the LAND, YOU FIGHT WITH GOD.

Joshua 5:13-15 KJV  And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?  (14)  And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?  (15)  And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

Joshua 6:3 KJV  And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
