IN THE LAND DOING HIS WILL

Genesis 11:4-8  And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top [may reach] unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people [is] one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Genesis 12:1-3  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

• And they must think the Bible should actually read "Resist the church, devil, and we will flee from you."

• But so many do not serve Him the proper way.

• One man named himself after money since he preached material prosperity.
• In Canada we call our dollar coins "Loonies" because of the picture of a bird called a Loon on the coin.
• I suppose if I was a prosPerity preacher you would call me "Rev. Loonie"!

• But I am more concerned wit h that which is not seen that is eternal.
• I don't want to be spiritually poor in the eternity that stretches out far past this time frame that we presently live in.

• And God squashed it.
• God will not allow people to make their own names great and to exalt themselves.
• There will come a fall somewhere along the line.

• Trying to set everything up right, without doing the will of God, will only cause God to upset the apple cart!
• He scattered people who did their own wills and refused His.
• And He gathered those who chose His will.
• And He gathered such people to A LAND.
• He made their names great!
• But He refused to allow man to make his name great when man did his own will.

• Seek His face.
• Seek His will.
• Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

• He'll take care of your material needs if you seek His will.

• But they are not doing the will of the Father.
• Those who do the will of the Father will enter into the Land,  a place of safety, so to speak.

Deuteronomy 29:15  But with [him] that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with [him] that [is] not here with us this day:

Deuteronomy 29:18-25  Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go [and] serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven. And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law: So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it; [And that] the whole land thereof [is] brimstone, and salt, [and] burning, [that] it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath: Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what [meaneth] the heat of this great anger? Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:

Deuteronomy 29:28  And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as [it is] this day.

Deuteronomy 30:1-3  And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call [them] to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

Your house is on sand if you do your own will.

• Our will is sand.
• Man was made from sand, or dust of the earth.
• And building on sand is building on our own wills.

Matthew 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:26-27  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

• He was sent forth out of the Garden, or out of the land.
• Adam chose the knowledge of good and evil.
• Instead of life.

• They all handle the knowledge of good and evil.
• You can hand out knowledge of good and evil without having God yourself.
• But you cannot hand out life to people unless you also have God.

• And God told Adam to eat the fruit of life.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

On the other hand, Jesus came to bring life once again.

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

John 20:22  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Romans 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

• The BREATH of life.
• Jesus' breath of life frees you from sin and death.

• God led Israel to an Eden of the promised land through a wilderness.

Deuteronomy 8:15  Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where [there was] no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Leviticus 26:21-22  And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.

• In His Presence is fullness of joy!

• He gathers those who do His will and He protects them.

Revelation 21:2-3  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.

Psalm 18:6-13  In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, [even] into his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness [was] under his feet. And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him [were] dark waters [and] thick clouds of the skies. At the brightness [that was] before him his thick clouds passed, hail [stones] and coals of fire. The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail [stones] and coals of fire.

His pavilion is His "tabernacle" in the Hebrew language.

Psalm 27:5  For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock!

Jesus Christ is King of Kings right now.

Peter interpreted David as saying Christ is on the throne right now.

Acts 2:30-36  Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Ephesians 1:20-22  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all [things] to the church,

• Christ is presently over all things in this world.
• Over all powers.

1 John 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

• He is not going to be manifested, but was manifested.
• And was WAS He manifested?
• To destroy the works of the devil.
• He is not going to destroy those works, but already did.

Hebrews 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

• And that death already occurred.

Colossians 2:15  [And] having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

• Jesus Himself said you cannot spoil a strong man until you first overcome him and bind him.

1 Corinthians 15:24-26  Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.

Hebrews 10:12-14  But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

• The Bible did not say He would reign AFTER He puts all enemies beneath His feet, but UNTIL He puts all enemies beneath His feet.
• Christ's reign is spreading greater and greater.
• He has faith in His work omn the cross.
• He sits, after having finished the work, expecting all enemies to be made His footstool.
• That is faith in His work on the cross!

• Enter His rest and sit down on the throne.
• Stop scurrying around and being scattered.
• Do His will, and enter the land and be gathered into His rest.
• In the land, doing His will!
• You scurry and scatter yourself when you doubt God and try to work your own will.
• The reason we are worried is because we are not at rest in knowing He is in control and we must let Him take care of our cares.
