SIN LESS Part 3

Ephesians 5:25-27 KJV  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;  (26)  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,  (27)  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Romans 6:13 KJV  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

The reference Paul made to Christ loving the church and dying so we could be washed and sanctified is an allusion to water baptism in Jesus’ name.
•    Our sins are washed away.
•    And we have no wrinkle or any such thing!
•    It’s all because He gave Himself for us in the death He died on the cross.
•    That death is why we can be washed by the blood.

However, when we do not grasp this, we are not grasping the truth of what baptism into His death accomplished.
•    We see ourselves in a negative light, and we would never dream of seeing ourselves as without spot or wrinkle in such a mood.
•    But think about it.
•    How can we ever see ourselves in this negative light if we truly believed the scriptures that say we are washed and sanctified, and Jesus sees us as without spot or wrinkle?

We need to see how Christ presents us to Himself without spot or wrinkle.
•    We must cooperate with that.
•    See ourselves the way he does!
•    And present ourselves to Him in the same manner!
•    With the same concept of ourselves!
•    Being alive from the dead, means our old lives and all that disgusted God about us has died!
•    So being alive form the dead means we are freed from all of that!
•    We’ve been delivered of all the junk that made us sinners.

Only those who truly realize this will present themselves to God like that.
•    You won’t present yourself to God as someone without spot of wrinkle if you do not believe you are without spot or wrinkle.
•    So those who make this presentation are those who really believe what the Bible says about us!
•    They look at themselves in the light of the Gospel!
•    They see themselves in the way the bible describes them.
•    They see the way God sees.
•    And THAT is spirituality!

To present yourself as one alive from the dead means you present yourself as someone who is without spot or wrinkle, and you know it!

Hebrews 10:16-20 KJV  This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;  (17)  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.  (18)  Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.  (19)  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,  (20)  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

Notice boldness comes after we read remission of sins occurs in our lives.
•    If you really believed Jesus remitted your sins in baptism, like Acts 2:38 says, you would come boldly to the throne of God too!
•    And notice REMISSION OF SINS is mentioned in association with coming boldly, just like Romans 6:13 mentions presenting yourself alive from the dead after the teaching of baptism into Christ’s death.
•    Baptism is part of remission of sins!

The NEW WAY to come to God is not the way of works and righteous  deeds.
•    That’s the OLD testament way.
•    The NEW way is through His flesh, that is, the death of His flesh on the cross.

Romans 7:4 KJV  Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

We became DEAD TO THE LAW by the body of Christ.
•    What’s that mean?
•    His body is what DIED on the cross.
•    His death is what we’re baptized into.
•    So His death counts as our deaths!
•    And since WE can be said to have DIED WITH HIM, we are dead to the law by the death that the body of Jesus experienced!

Colossians 3:1-3 KJV  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  (2)  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  (3)  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

YOU ARE DEAD!
•    Don’t seek things in this low world.
•    Jesus died and is seated in glory in heaven now!
•    Since we died with HIM, we are seated with Him there as well.
•    So stop thinking of low things down in this world, but higher things that are up there in heaven.
•    WE DIED.
•    And that death was a death TO THIS WORLD!
•    We’re supposed to be dead to it!
•    So let’s live like it.
This language is all through the New Testament!
•    If we’re told to seek things above in heaven where Jesus is, and not things down in the world, because we’re dead, it is saying WE ARE DEAD TO THIS OLD WORLD.

That’s what Paul said too!

Galatians 5:24 KJV  And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Not only does the death of Christ say that we are without spot of wrinkle, but we actually have the means of seeing our OWN FLESH AND ITS LUSTS OVERCOME!
•    First we have to see what the bible says about this issue.
•    We’re dead to the flesh and its lusts.
•    Then we can start using faith for that!
•    Start believing it and actually realize we can start to overcome these fleshly urges.

That is where you start getting real victory as a Christian!

We need to actually start believing God for these things, instead of saying amen and then facing situations where we should be using faith and simply don’t.
See yourself the way God sees you!
•    Cooperate with the presentation by seeing He wants to present you to Himself without spot or wrinkle, and step up and present yourself as one alive from the dead!

Song of Solomon 2:10-14 KJV  (10)  My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.  (11)  For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;  (12)  The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;  (13)  The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.  (14)  O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

The cleft is the place of BREAKING.

Exodus 33:20-22 KJV  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.  (21)  And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:  (22)  And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

Moses saw the GLORY from the CLEFT!
Exodus 34:1-2 KJV  And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.  (2)  And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.

Exodus 34:5 KJV  And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

Exodus 34:29 KJV  And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

Moses SHINED like GOD after He saw just the BACK PARTS OF GOD.
•    Imagine the FULL FORCE!
•    But HE WAS LIKE GOD!

We’re LIKE JESUS the more we realize that we are so much one with Him that WE DIED WITH HIM.
•    The bible calls it looking in a MIRROR when we see God’s glory!

2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

GET REVELATION!

After the dove came with the leaf, like giving a revelation from the SPIRIT, the veil is removed!
•    UNVEIL means REVELATION.
