2 Corinthians 3:12-18 KJV (12) Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: (13) And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: (14) But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. (15) But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. (16) Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. (17) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (18) But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 KJV (14) For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (15) And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. (16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Revelation 21:1-7 KJV (1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (6) And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 22:1-4 KJV (1) And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (2) In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (3) And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: (4) And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
We are learning MORE about JESUS.
When we see a revelation of Jesus, we see what we can claim for our lives.
The truths we are learning lately are actually embedded throughout the book of Revelation.
If you do not hear what you expect to hear of what you were taught tonight, then do not close me off.
Hebrews 12:22-23 KJV (22) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, (23) To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, Ephesians 5:23 KJV (23) For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Galatians 4:26 KJV (26) But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. The one who sits on the throne says that he makes all things new, for the former are passed away. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 KJV (16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. We HAVE KNOWN Christ and others after the flesh, but not any more.
It all happened by the cross. 2 Corinthians 5:14 KJV (14) For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: Because of that, Paul said we are new creatures. "It is done" is mentioned in Rev 21:6
Romans 6:3-4 KJV (3) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? (4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. We walk in NEWNESS of life because of the IT IS FINISHED.
Speaking of David, Peter said... Acts 2:30 KJV (30) Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; Acts 2:33-34 KJV (33) Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. (34) For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, He is on David's throne now! FOR THAT REASON HE SHED FORTH THE HOLY GHOST. We consider His death AS "IT IS DONE" in Revelation. When Christ died and ascended into Heaven, He went to the throne in Rev 5.
Recall the rainbow in Rev 4.
Revelation 5:12 KJV (12) Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Genesis 9:1-2 KJV (1) And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. (2) And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Genesis 1:28 KJV (28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And to GOD AND THE LAMB, God and CHRIST, there is honour and glory. Revelation 5:13 KJV (13) And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. The reason no man could take the book in Rev 5 was because of what we read as a result of Him taking it.
Like an ark he went over.
So his experience when he said IT IS FINISHED was HIs death.
And we WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE. He crossed the watery barrier of DEATH and reached the throne SO WE CAN GET BACK TO GOD!
The rainbow indicated NO MORE FLOODS.
So just as the rainbow said there would be no more floods, WE DIED ONCE to sin. Romans 6:8-11 KJV (8) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: (9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. (10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. (11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. DEAD INDEED... dead once to sin. Dieth no more.
Revelation 21:1 KJV (1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. NO MORE SEA... no more deaths... no more floodwaters to deal with.
Revelation 21:5 KJV (5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. The one on the throne says this.
Revelation 7:15-17 KJV (15) Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. (16) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. (17) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. The ones who let Him sit on the throne over their lives serve Him on more than just Sundays in church!
After the river flows in Rev 22, we read: Revelation 22:17 KJV (17) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. John 7:37-39 KJV (37) In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (39) (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 4:13-14 KJV (13) Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: (14) But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. This is the NEW BIRTH EXPERIENCE. Rev 7 and Rev 22 are combined in John 7 and JOhn's 4 HOLY GHOST scriptures of the rivers of living water.
(3) And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: HIS SERVANTS SHALL SERVE HIM.
Revelation 22:4 KJV (4) And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 2 Corinthians 4:6 KJV (6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. GLORY IS IN JESUS' FACE.
WE WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE when we learn these things. So we SEE HIS FACE when we learn these things.
