Genesis 6:5-8  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Genesis 7:23  And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

1 Thessalonians 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

The whole purpose of the church is to reveal the mystery concerning Jesus Christ to those who hunger after the things of God.

Paul said...

Colossians 1:27-28  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Christ needs to get in you.
• That is your only hope of glory.
• And Paul said he warned and taught about Jesus.
• So that people could stand perfect before God one day.
• When its all over, and judgment is here, you are going to want to stand perfect before God.
• Complete before God.
• Christ needs to be inside you, first of all.

Paul warned every man about Jesus
He taught every man about Jesus
In order to present every man perfect in Jesus.

Its all about Jesus.

Every sermon we preach is circled around Jesus.
• Its focused on the cross that saves us when nothing else ever can nor will save you.

Man is heading for judgment, and needs to somehow escape that and come into favour with God.
• Jesus is that means.

Everyone knows the physical story behind Noah's ark.
• But not many know the spiritual significance of that story for today.
• This is part of the mystery we must reveal to you in our ministry.

Notice that of all the sinners, Noah alone was alive and remained.
• I want to be alive and remain.
• Who was taken in Noah's day?
Matthew 24:37-39  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Sinners were taken.
Matthew 24:40-41  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
I want to be alive and remaining.
Matthew 7:24-27  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
I want to be alive and remaining.
Hebrews 12:26-28  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
I want to be alive and remaining.

God took the wicked and left the righteous alive in Noah's day.
• So shall two be in the filed while one is taken and the other remains.
• I want to be alive and remaining.
• People got this all backwards and think the one remaining is the sinner when the righteous are taken away to heaven.
• That is not what this is saying.

Judgment was on the world due to sin, and God sent the flood.
• Our lives are sinful when we are born into this world.

Romans 5:18  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
• And judgment is going to come.
• Noah's story shows some who met the judgment and perished, while a minority escaped the judgment and passed into a new creation.
Genesis 6:7-8  And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
You have to find grace in order to be saved from a world of people who are going to be judged.
• Notice that grace was in God's eyes.
• Looking into someone's eyes often tells you all about that person.
• God's eyes were full of grace.
• God doesn't want anyone to perish.
• This is exactly what the Bible tells us saves us.
Ephesians 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Acts 15:11  But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Noah took trees from the earth to build the ark.
• Every tree was cut down and killed in order to make the ark.

Noah pitched the boards inside and outside.
• The Hebrew word of PITCH is Kopher (ko'-fer).
• It actually means ATONEMENT, or RANSOM.
• It comes from the word that means to cover over, or to forgive.
• This means that covering the boards with pitch is the same thing as covering over your sins and forgiving you.

So we have an ark made totally of "death" to rescue Noah and his family from judgment.
• Jesus Christ's death is the means by which God rescues us from judgment.
• The message of His death for you is your ark to escape God's judgment.
• You need to get inside this message
• Since all of us had to die due to sin, the Bible teaches that His death counts in God's mind as OUR DEATHS.
• So, getting into this whole story of the DEATH of Jesus will rescue you from judgment.
• God will consider you outside of such a debt.

Christians are people whose old lives died with Jesus, and their present lives are new creatures.
• I am not dead.
• My old life is dead.
• I am a living new creature that has never had sin, in God's eyes.
• Believers, do you realize that God sees you as coming into existence for the first time when you obeyed the Gospel?

Jesus is the LAST ADAM.
• And as much as everyone born from Adam are sinners, everyone who comes from Christ is a new creature who never had sin in God's eyes.

I don't care how much you connect yourself to your past life before you were saved.
• God sees you as a brand new creature completely distinct from anything to do with your past life.

Jesus went through the judgment of death.
• And everyone who is baptized into Jesus' death is said to have already gone through the judgment as though they were inside Christ, their ark, when He passed through the storm of death.
• And we enter a REST.

Matthew 11:28-29  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Jesus is the ark that takes us to REST.

Adam had to WORK because of sin.

Genesis 3:17 -19 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
We're free from sin and the curse and REST once again.
Genesis 8:4  And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
Noah's name means REST.

Ararat means CURSE IS REVERSED.

And the ark rests on Ararat.

Once you experienced this baptism into Jesus' death, and you are saved, you can rest that the judgment is over and you are in a new heaven and a new earth.
• Noah walked into a new earth when he left the ark.

Hebrews speaks of God's rest as a place in which we can enter!

Hebrews 4:5  And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
And God rests on His throne.
Isaiah 66:1  Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
God said HEAVEN is where His throne is and where He rests.
• And we enter into HIS REST.

That is what Jesus meant when He said.

Revelation 3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Noah's ark came to rest on the mountain where he got a covenant from God and where a rainbow shone as a token.
Genesis 8:20-21  And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
This was a covenant Noah received after he offered blood at this place of rest.
Genesis 9:11-13  And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Verse 11's covenant is what Noah got after he offered blood in 8:20-21.
• So the rainbow was given to Noah at this place on Ararat where he got the covenant from God.
Revelation 4:2-3  And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

Revelation 5:1  And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

This is a covenant book, because it is written on both sides just like the covenant tables of stone in Exodus 32:15.
Exodus 32:15  And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
Jesus is next seen as a lamb who died.
Revelation 5:6-7  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he (JESUS) came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
Like Noah's offering, Jesus shed His blood and died and obtained a covenant where there was a rainbow.

And He was the ark in which we passed through judgment and came into a new world.

We are free from judgment because we already passed through it!
