Genesis 6:6-8 KJV
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it
grieved him at his heart. (7) And the LORD said, I will
destroy man
whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast,
and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me
that I have made them. (8) But Noah found grace in the eyes
of the
LORD.
Genesis 6:18 KJV But with thee will I establish my covenant; and
thou
shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy
sons' wives with thee.
Genesis 7:11 KJV In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the
second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all
the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven
were opened.
Proverbs 3:19-20 KJV The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth;
by
understanding hath he established the heavens. (20) By his
knowledge
the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
The very same note found in Genesis and Noah's flood about the depths
broken up and the windows of heaven opened to flood the earth are found
in Proverbs 3.
- And the use of
it in Proverbs connects it with WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.
When God made man, He made us from the very same two things which
contained all the enormous supply of water that He later used to wash
the world clean.
- So we can gain
insight about what He intended us to CONTAIN in order to deal with the
troubles we shall face in life as Believers.
Peter spoke of the wisdom God gave to Paul.
2 Peter 3:15-18 KJV And account that the longsuffering of our
Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to
the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; (16) As
also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which
are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned
and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their
own destruction. (17) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know
these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error
of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. (18) But
grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
And the wisdom of Paul provided truth that many people twist and
distort to their own destruction.
- And speaking
of a warning to not fall after the error of the wicked, we are told to
GROW IN GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS.
- This
knowledge, therefore, is preventative measures against falling into
error.
- That is why
lack of knowledge brings destruction.
Hosea 4:6 KJV My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that
thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of
thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Knowing certain things allows us to be able to avoid destruction.
When the Lord created the Heaven and Earth, in order for them to bust
open with enormous reservoirs of flood waters, they were made with all
those fountains inside them.
- Did God
foresee the future when He made heaven and earth and know that he would
one day have to crack open these two reservoirs and wash away
sinfulness?
- Of course!
- So when He
made the heavens, He made them with bountiful reservoirs of water.
- Same with the
earth.
This corresponds to our lives as believers.
- God made man
from the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of Life.
- So man has
WIND OF HEAVEN AND DUST OF EARTH as his spirit and body.
- And man became
a living soul as the result.
He created us as new creatures and locked within ourselves enormous
reservoirs of SPIRIT BAPTISM that He knew we would require.
But something is required to unlock those reservoirs.
KNOWLEDGE.
Proverbs 3:21-26 KJV My son, let not them depart from thine eyes:
keep sound wisdom and discretion: (22) So shall they be
life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. (23) Then shalt
thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
(24) When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou
shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. (25) Be not
afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it
cometh. (26) For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and
shall keep thy foot from being taken.
After we read of God's wisdom MAKING HEAVEN AND EARTH, and the SAME
WISDOM OR KNOWLEDGE THAT cracks these two tanks open, we read about the
very issues in our lives which need WASHING AWAY.
- He spoke of
stumbling.
- Do not let
wisdom and knowledge be cast aside, for they will cause your foot to
not stumble.
Many believers stumble in life.
- They get
tripped up over this and fall over that.
- They slip and
spiritually bruise their knees and falter.
- WISDOM AND
KNOWLEDGE stop that from happeneing.
- How?
- God in wisdom
created supertanks of heaven and earth full of water.
- BUT HIS
KNOWLEDGE BURSTS THEM OPEN.
Get the picture.
IT WAS WISDOM IN CREATING THESE TANKS WITH SO MUCH WATER.
- But it is
KNOWLEDGE that busts them open.
- Wisdom sets
something up and knowledge takes advantage of it.
His knowledge also allows for us to not be afraid.
- In his wisdom
he filled us with His Spirit with everything we need to wash away fear.
- Not only that,
but the desolation of the wicked is not our concern due to knowledge.
UNLESS YOU KNOW ABOUT SOMETHING, you cannot enjoy it.
- Whatever you
have no faith for, you cannot benefit from.
- So you first
have to receive KNOWLEDGE of what is there going for you.
- And then you
can have faith for that, so you can take advantage of it when needed.
In God's Wisdom He supplied all we'd ever need to not stumble, not fear
and not become desolate.
- But until you
receive KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT HE WISELY PROVIDED, you cannot use what will
keep you safe from these things.
Our minds are often the servants of our flesh.
- We allow the
flesh to dictate everything we do, by FEELING sick, so our minds
conclude we are sick and we accept it.
- We learn to
live with it.
- Our minds even
become religious sounding and call the sickness a cross we have to
bear, when the bible says God wills we prosper and be in good health as
our soul prospers.
- So why would
He give us sickness in His will for us to carry a cross?
Lack of knowledge brings destruction.
- Destruction
such as sickness comes and lack of knowledge that it is never a cross
to bear, since Jesus bore that for us, will allow us to rise up and
have faith and rebuke the sickness.
- So lack of
knowledge allows destructive sickness to wipe us out, whereas we would
have risen up and removed it by faith had we known better.
Stumbling brings destruction.
- But knowledge
allows us to deal with all that would cause us to stumble, and not be
destroyed by it.
- And this is
the same for what causes fear and desolation.
So people who are never eager to receive more knowledge cannot grow in
faith and knowledge to be able to deflect the things that cause their
destruction.
And since this provision we have to defeat the purpose of stumbling,
fear and desolation is the power of God, KNOWLEDGE BUSTS OPEN the
heaven and earth of our spirits and flesh that houses all these
reservoirs of FLOODWATERS that will wash these things out of our lives.
- It unlocks
these reservoirs, because knowledge makes you aware of what is in you
and what you do not have to accept, so that you can believe God to see
this power bust out and drive away this destruction.
As with the destructive sinners and wickedness in the earth of Noah's
day, fear, desolation and stumbling need to be washed away by unlocking
the depths of the earth and windows of heaven, the two things our
spirits and bodies were made from, and release that power and deal with
these things.
We have all we ever need to deal with these destructive forces, but we
are so often unaware of it.
- Knowledge
makes us aware of it.
- And once we're
aware of it, we can have faith in it.
- And then we
can UTILIZE IT.
We need to learn about what the Bible says God put inside us and what
it deals with.
We have to learn that we are complete in Christ ever since new birth.
Colossians 2:6-10 KJV As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus
the Lord, so walk ye in him: (7) Rooted and built up in
him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding
therein with thanksgiving. (8) Beware lest any man spoil
you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (9)
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
(10) And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all
principality and power:
We received Jesus by faith and we must continue to live by faith as
well, and not stop in faith by proceeding to go through it with our
flesh.
- So many begin
by faith and then fall into denominationalism and fleshly religion
which is simply self making self try to be more spiritual with all
sorts of unbiblical programs and self-help groups.
- It begins in
Spirit and it continues in Spirit.
- And we cannot
stop that process halfway between beginning and proceeding with
traditions of men.
- Jesus is
beginning and ending, and author and finisher, and if we are in Christ
all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily.
- And we're his
body.
- Guess where
all the fullness of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are.
- In Him.
- And that's why
we are complete in Him!
- Everything God
has that we will ever need, and more, are all ours in Christ.
Let me add another angle to this.
Ephesians 2:11-13 KJV Wherefore remember, that ye being in time
past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which
is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; (12)
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise,
having no hope, and without God in the world: (13) But now
in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the
blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:14-18 KJV For he is our peace, who hath made both
one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between
us; (15) Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the
law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of
twain one new man, so making peace; (16) And that he might
reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the
enmity thereby: (17) And came and preached peace to you
which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. (18) For
through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Notice this is speaking about JEW AND GENTILE.
He reconciled Jews and Gentiles together IN ONE BODY called the church.
Ephesians 1:9-10 KJV Having made known unto us the mystery of his
will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in
himself: (10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of
times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which
are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Notice he uses two elements like He did Jew and Gentile in chapter 2.
- And it hit my
spirit that Paul was saying the same thing in both chapters, only using
different words.
- JEW AND
GENTILE is the same thing as saying HEAVEN AND EARTH.
Then I learned that Adam Clarke, bible scholar, said this very thing in
his studies.
- He said the
Jews are considered "heavenly" in the bible since they began as a
nation led by God and founded by God, Himself, while the Gentiles who
worshiped idols and false gods were considered earthly with no heavenly
elements among them.
- Israel's
government, secular way of life and religious, were all of God of
heavenly origin.
- And Gentiles
are allowed into the commonwealth, so to speak, and granted all the
blessings with Israel without circumcision and rites of ceremonies and
rituals.
- WHAT A MYSTERY!
But imagine God;'s great plan of the ages to have JEWS AND GENTILES
together in one body... heaven and earth.
- Imagine the
power of God ready to let loose in this world when these two groups
representing all the peoples of the world are together.
- But the enemy
does not want this to occur.
- Some feel
Israel is not meant from the church.
- But the New
Testament teaches directly the opposite.
Could it be satan knows the Word and realizes what could happen if Jew
and Gentile are together... heaven and earth?
