Ephesians 1:15-22 Complete Apostles' Bible  (15)  Because of this I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,  (16)  do not cease to give thanks concerning you, making mention of you in my prayers:  (17)  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,  (18)  the eyes of your heart having been enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  (19)  and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power  (20)  which He worked in Christ, having raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,  (21)  above every ruler and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the coming age.  (22)  And He subjected all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

Colossians is a lot like Ephesians.

Colossians 2:1-3 Complete Apostles' Bible  (1)  For I want you to know how great a struggle I have concerning you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,  (2)  that their hearts may be encouraged, being joined together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to a full knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,  (3)  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Paul told them that there were treasures HIDDEN IN CHRIST that the Colossians had to come to a full knowledge about.

So a veil needs to be lifted so we can SEE with EYES OF UNDERSTANDING the power that we have going for us.
  • Prayer is the thing that is going to see that veil lifted.

Paul said this power is according to and in the same degree of power as that which God used to raise up Christ and put Him on the throne.

Ephesians 1:19-20 Complete Apostles' Bible  (19)  and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power  (20)  which He worked in Christ, having raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

Paul is quoting from here:

Psalms 110:1 Complete Apostles' Bible  (1)  A Psalm of David. The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.

This is telling us that Christ did not just die on the cross to save us from our sins and free us from a sentence in hell.
  • Jesus provided something more for us after he did His work on the cross in dying for our sins.
  • He proceeded to do more work and provide more for us after He died for our sins and our sentence to hell.
  • He proceeded to enter into the holiest place of Heaven itself and sit down on the right hand throne of power in order for us to receive a power that most Christians cannot even see is their's.
  • It is a power He provides us that Paul had to pray about in order for the Christians to even realize they had it.
  • It's a power that requires us to have a spirit of wisdom and revelation in order to realize it at all.

Jesus did not have to come down to earth and die in order to be able to ascend into Heaven just to sit on the throne.
  • He is God and always was God.
  • But the reason He manifested in flesh so that he could die, and then ascend into heaven in resurrected and glorified flesh was so that HE COULD GO IN FOR US.

Hebrews 6:19-20 KJV  Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;  (20)  Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 9:24 KJV  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

It was for our benefit.

And that benefit is so that there would be a power from God that would flow down toward us ands four our sakes here in this world.
  • I believe this power is the baptism of the Holy Ghost and we have not even scratched the surface of what kind of power that is.
  • The HOLY GHOST is the CHANNEL OF THE POWER OF JESUS ON THE THRONE.
  • IT IS WHAT makes us able to say JESUS IS IN US.
  • Jesus is in us!
  • It is our LINK to Jesus on the throne.
  • All that is in heaven is linked to being in us.
  • Just as real as He is in the sanctuary of Heaven we are also His sanctuary and temple, and HE IS IN USE MINISTERING.

He sprinkled the mercyseat of glory and is said to sprinkle our hearts from an evil conscience.
  • What is done in heaven is matched in our hearts.
  • Both places are where He dwells.
  • And the blood sprinkled on the high priest got Him into the holiest.
  • He had blood on his toe thumb and ear.
  • From head to toe, literally, the blood was present.
  • But outer court Christians do not conceive this in their hearts and are unaware of it, so it is no wonder they do not enter the holiest.
  • They do not know the point of sprinkling, so they do not enter.

Let's not doubt we can have this perfect access into the throne room so that we actually live in this earth by a power that can make us overcome any obstacle.

We are involved in two worlds.
  • Invisible and visible.
  • And our spirits are what enter into the holiest, while our bodies are on this earth.

It's as though Jesus is connected to us as our PLUG into heavenly power.
  • So long as we are connected to Him in faith of all of this, there is a stream of power that comes from heaven down into our lives in this earth.
  • But we have to be aware of a thing in order to have faith in it and start enjoying it.
  • First know about it.
  • Then reckon yourself in the picture, and get yourself involved.

John 14:12 KJV  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

The reason we read these words but really do not believe them by the way we scoff at ever coming into a place where we can do the things Jesus did, and greater, is because we have simply not been made aware of the revelation of this power.

The apostles quoted Psalm 110:1 more than any other OT verse, while we barely notice or recall such a reference of Christ sitting at the right hand when we think of any power we have from God, because they had a revelation of what that meant that we do not have.
  • Paul knew that Christ went into this holiest place of heaven itself and sat down on the throne for a benefit to give to us a power that is beyond being made freed from sin and from a devil's hell.

Andrew Murray once said, "The knowledge of Jesus that we need for conversion is not enough for our growth and progress and maturity."
  • There is a knowledge of the power of God that is sent to us as a direct result of Christ being seated at the right hand throne of power that Paul had to pray so that we can even be able to realize it.

While Jesus SHED BLOOD on the cross in order for us to be be saved from sin, He did something further than that with His blood in HEAVEN.

Hebrews 9:21-24 KJV  Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.  (22)  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  (23)  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.  (24)  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Jesus actually SPRINKLED HIS BLOOD IN HEAVEN in order to purify it in the sense of CONSECRATION OF A SPECIAL PLACE THERE FOR US, so we would not mar it.
  • He made it so folks like us could enter there spiritually right now!
  • He opened heaven up for us by a priceless sacrifice better than anything like a bullock or goat.
  • Heaven was not unclean.
  • But sprinkling His blood there was for the purpose of consecrating it and setting it aside as a special place FOR OUR INVOLVEMENT in some manner.

By Jesus sitting on the throne of glory, God has been able to cause a power to come down to us in this earth that is described as being exceedingly great.

SHED BLOOD on earth dealt with sin.

SPRINKLED BLOOD IN HEAVEN deals with POWER FOR US TO LIVE EVERY DAY IN OVERCOMING VICTORY!

This sprinkling of blood is associated in the New Testament with power to daily overcome life and all its trials and storms.

Christ's entrance into the heaven itself is called the true holiest in Hebrews.

Hebrews 9:7 KJV  But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

Hebrews 9:11-12 Complete Apostles' Bible  (11)  But Christ came as a High Priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.  (12)  Not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered once for all into the Holies, having obtained eternal redemption.

Hebrews 9:24 Complete Apostles' Bible  (24)  For Christ did not enter into the holies made by hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf;

Al of this information was given to the apostles from Psalm 110.
  • Look at all the truth they got out of that one verse by the Holy Ghost power of revelation.

Going into Heaven and sitting at the right hand is mentioned here, and look what is talks about.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Complete Apostles' Bible  (14)  Therefore having a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession.  (15)  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but having been tempted in all respects in quite the same way as we are, yet without sin.  (16)  Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

GRACE to help in the time of need is DIVINE EMPOWERMENT.
  • This is the power Paul talked about in Ephesians 1.
  • It's the power that comes to us directly as a result of Christ's seating as high priest after the order of Melchisedek at the right hand throne.
  • GRACE means DIVINE EMPOWERMENT.

It's as though Hebrews urges us to get into the holiest with our faith and spirits by believing for God to empower us because Christ is there FOR THAT VERY REASON.

Paul said power for us is directly connected to and caused by the Lord's seating at the throne.
  • Hebrews tells us to enter the holiest where He is seated.
  • The two pictures go together.
  • Hebrews refers to enjoying the power coming from that holiest by speaking of it as though we enter WITH FAITH in where Jesus is seated.
  • Both Ephesians and Hebrews mention this place where Jesus is seated.
  • Ephesians says it is power coming down to us in the world, and Hebrews says it is power we tap into by entering by faith into this holiest.
  • I am here on this earth, but when I believe that power is for me because Jesus is sitting there, it's like I am entering there in my heart while I stand on this earth.
