Genesis 9:8-13 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him,
saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your
seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the
fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all
that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. And I will
establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any
more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood
to destroy the earth. And God said, This is the token of the covenant
which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with
you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it
shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Revelation 4:1-6 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was
opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a
trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew
thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the
spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the
throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine
stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like
unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats:
and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in
white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of
the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there
were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven
Spirits of God. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like
unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the
throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
A rainbow was the token of the covenant God gave to NOAH.
· NO MORE FLOODS.
· Noah just walked out of the ark from a flood.
We see that token of the covenant again in Revelation’s vision of
Heaven.
· And the RAINBOW IS AROUND THE THRONE.
· WATER is outstretched before the throne like
a FLOOD.
· Notice that four beasts are round about the
throne as well.
· Noah obtained the covenant when the rainbow
shone ON MOUNT ARARAT LIKE AN ISLAND.
· John saw GOD on the throne where the rainbow
was as though the throne was like an ISLAND.
· A SEA stood before the throne.
· WATER everywhere.
Revelation 5:1-3 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on
the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven
seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is
worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in
heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the
book, neither to look thereon.
GOD held a sealed scroll sitting on that throne.
· And someone was required to COME to obtain
it.
· Like the island cross the flood of judgment,
Ararat was where Noah obtained a covenant and a rainbow indicated NO
MORE FLOODS.
· NO ONE COULD CROSS.
Noah found something before the flood that enabled him to obtain the
covenant after the flood was over on Ararat.
· HE FOUND GRACE.
Revelation 5:6-7 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne
and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as
it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the
seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and
took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
JESUS appears between the four beasts that were around the throne and
the throne itself.
· It’s like he is walking on water.
· And he goes to the throne where the rainbow
is and TAKES THE SEALED BOOK.
· Like Noah receiving a covenant.
· It was after NOAH OFFERED A SACRIFICE when
he received the covenant.
· GOD SMELLED A SAVOUR OF REST.
· Jesus was a LAMB STANDING after having been
slain and goes to the throne to get the scroll
ARARAT means CURSE IS REVERSED.
· Takes us back to Adam.
Genesis 9:1-2 KJV And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said
unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
(2) And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every
beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that
moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your
hand are they delivered.
So much like in the Garden:
Genesis 1:28 KJV And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and
have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
It’s a picture of the GARDEN KINGDOM restored once again.
Lamb alone was worthy to go to the throne and open the book.
John could not go, the lamb goes and gets the book and stays at the
throne, and then John is told to come and see.
· He could not go beforehand, but now is told
to come and see.
· The lamb’s worthiness is transferred
onto John and John is worthy to go now.
Hebrews 4:1-16 KJV Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being
left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short
of it. (2) For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as
unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed
with faith in them that heard it. (3) For we which have
believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath,
if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from
the foundation of the world. (4) For he spake in a certain
place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day
from all his works. (5) And in this place again, If they
shall enter into my rest. (6) Seeing therefore it remaineth
that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached
entered not in because of unbelief: (7) Again, he limiteth
a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is
said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
(8) For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward
have spoken of another day. (9) There remaineth therefore a
rest to the people of God. (10) For he that is entered into
his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from
his. (11) Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest,
lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (12)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and
spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the
thoughts and intents of the heart. (13) Neither is there
any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are
naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
(14) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed
into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
profession. (15) For we have not an high priest which
cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all
points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (16) Let us
therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
We’re told to enter a rest.
· But we require faith.
· Hebrews mentions about a rest we need to
enter, and the fourth chapter ends saying we need to approach the
throne with BOLDNESS.
· For John to know he was not worthy to go to
the throne, and then go after the resurrected slain lamb went REQUIRED
FAITH!
The throne is where Jesus went.
· Rev 3 says HE SAT DOWN WITH HIS FATHER IN
HIS THRONE.
· That was the last verse we read before the
VISION OF CHAPTERS 4 and 5 OCCURRED.
Revelation 3:21 KJV To him that overcometh will I grant to sit
with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne.
Then we read of the throne in chapter 4, and the Lamb going to it in
Chapter 5.
· In fact we read of the LAMB OVERCOMING!
Revelation 5:5 KJV And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not:
behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath
prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
This is the place of DOMINION and POWER.
That throne is what we must approach IN BOLDNESS.
· It’s coming to REST.
· It’s coming to the rainbow where
Noah heard God reinstate the DOMINION to him that He first gave to Adam
in the Garden.
· Hebrews 4 alludes to the GARDEN ENTRANCE
even with mention of sword in association with our entrance, and also
SPOKE OF THE REST of God after Genesis 1 creation when God gave man
dominion.
Heb 4: (3) For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he
said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest:
although the works were finished from the foundation of the
world. (4) For he spake in a certain place of the seventh
day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his
works.
Heb 10 continues to speak of ENTERING like chapter 4, but goes with
another angle.
Hebrews 10:16-22 KJV This is the covenant that I will make with
them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their
hearts, and in their minds will I write them; (17) And
their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. (18) Now
where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
(19) Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus, (20) By a new and living
way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to
say, his flesh; (21) And having an high priest over the
house of God; (22) Let us draw near with a true heart in
full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil
conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Connect this with Rev 5.
· Jesus is a lamb who died, resurrected and
was worthy to go to the throne and open the book.
· We are told to enter the holiest because OUR
SINS ARE REMITTED.
· Verse 18 says remission of sins means there
is no more offering for sin.
· SO WE SHOULD HAVE BOLDNESS and go on in and
enter that holiest place.
It means dominion for us.
Revelation 5:9-10 KJV And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art
worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast
slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred,
and tongue, and people, and nation; (10) And hast made us
unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
So this is the key.
· Appreciate the TRUTH of how the BLOOD OF
JESUS PURGED us to such an extent that WE CAN ENTER THE HOLIEST.
· JOHN DID NOTHING between the time he was not
worthy to go and the time the beast told him to come.
· The LAMB DID EVERYTHING!
· He died, resurrected and went to the throne.
· THAT IS ALL THAT WE READ HAPPENED between
the first of Rev5 when John was not worthy to Chap 6 when he was.
The more we grasp this and get a revelation of it THE BOLDER WE WILL BE.
· It’s the whole key to returning to
dominion.
· IT IS JUST KNOWING WHAT HIS BLOOD DID to
such an extent that you know it AND ACT UPON IT.
If you lack boldness, then it has not hit you enough yet.
· It’s in your head but not your spirit.
· It needs to get hold of you so much that it
absolutely transforms your whole life.
It truly is realizing that ALL YOU NEED for the throne is HIS BLOOD
remitting your sins.
· If we hesitate, then it is because we are
looking perhaps at our own goodness which is an affront to God.
· He will never let us in on a grain of
thought that our goodness will cut it.
· If we know about the blood and still feel
inadequate, we have not gotten a revelation of the blood yet.
· So focus your heart and your faith to the
blood of Jesus and His death.
· IT REMITTED MY SIN – IT REMITTED MY
SIN.
· ON THAT BASIS I can be BOLD TO enter the
holiest and go to the throne.
