"PAST YOUR FEARS"

REV. MF BLUME

TEXT:
Lev. 16:12-13, 17
Hebrews 9:3-7
John 20:11-17

Jesus carried His own blood into the holiest of Heaven.

  1. Jordan River was rent.
  2. The veil was rent when Jesus died.
  3. Jesus body was rent in death.
All three of these instances speak the same message and are interconnected.

The veil represents the flesh (Hebrews 10:20).

Past the flesh and the soul is the conscience of a person. Similarly, past Jordan were the giants in Canaan that the Israelites feared.

A battered wife hates herself.

Condemn your children all the time and they will be unhappy people.

A world full of "if only's"

The greatest need in this world is to be loved. The worst saying in the world is "Shame on you." Jesus took His blood past the veil. Your conscience fights and you try to quieten it. But there is one way that will ease the conscience. Canaan was the Land of REST (Hebrews 3). Joshua at Jordan You've failed so much and are afraid to go in again, but this time you have the blood. Israel were as grasshoppers in the eyes of the giants of Canaan.

You must have this faith: Jesus took His blood and splashed the mercy seat.

And step into your fears, and as the water of the Jordan was flooding its banks and your feet step into the swelling waters, and may stay there momentarily, remain standing and do not "drop" your faith. The fears will remove themselves and instead of fearing, YOU WILL ENTER REST.

The book of Hebrews tells us to hold our confidence fast.

Picture the Levites holding up the ark, but dropping it in fear and running as the waves hit their legs. They left no chance for God to work!

God will take over and fight our battles if we stand by faith.

God removes the fears and rends the veil and fights the enemy.

We return back into Eden's Garden.

We can approach God by a new and living way! This is the meaning behind the truths that blood sprinkles our consciences and we rest.

Those who have fear will never be saved.

Fear that says you are not good enough, simply wilts away and you enter past your fears!
