Gene 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Gene 2:21-25 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Gene 3:6-9 And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where [art] thou?

Ephe 5:30-32 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

I. THE BEGINNING

• God placed Adam in the Garden
• Man was in God's own image
• Man is most special to God

• In the Garden, God makes a woman from man
• He makes her for man
• Then He said that two shall be one
• Each is actually 1/2
• Man and woman come together and make ONE FLESH.
• Man needs woman and woman needs man

• Mankind is as special to God as Woman is to man
• Woman was MADE FOR MAN
• Mankind was made for God

Reve 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

This is very similar to...

1Cor 7:3-5 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other...

1Cor 11:8-9 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

• The woman's BODY is for the man and the man's BODY is for the woman.
• That is why we are to understand that a man's wife has been raped when we read about a man uncovering another man's nakedness (Lev. 20:11)

• Likewise is God's SPIRIT is for mankind and man's Spirit or HEART is for God.

1Cor 6:16-18 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

• When God's Word mentions that two spirits unite as one, God's Spirit and a person's spirit, it reminds God of saying that fornication is evil.
• God thinks of our hearts as things of love.
• As much as a person's body is the most precious thing to another, hence intended for one and only one person, so is mankind's heart intended for God and God only.
• In the Bible, the HEART is the SPIRIT of a man.

• In the very beginning, when God made mankind, we read that God created a woman for Adam and mentioned that these two would become one.
• Two 1/2's would come together and make ONE.
• Even today we refer to our "better half" as our spouse.
• And it was after God mentioned that two would become one, that we read about mankind breaking away from God, and breaking God's Heart!!!
• It was as if God was trying to let us know, when Adam sinned, that Adam broke God's heart, when God explained that He made woman for man in the same story in which man fell away from God.

II. MANKIND'S FALL

• We see when Adam was created that he was naked and unashamed.
• After sin, Adam saw that he was naked.
• Adam sewed fig leaves to cover his nakedness.
• He didn't CLOTHE himself, but COVERED up.
• To be clothed is more than just covering up.
• Adam admitted he was still NAKED after putting on the apron.
• One is not CLOTHED with a mere apron.

Gene 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I [was] naked; and I hid myself.

• This act was a cover-up, literally as well as figuratively, for the sin Adam committed.

• Adam's HEART disobeyed God
• Adam tried to let on that nothing was wrong by "covering up"
• This is symbolic of a person who did wrong and attempts to let others think nothing is wrong.
• Mankind's heart violated God's trust.
• Jesus spoke so much about the HEART because it was the heart of mankind which God loved, and mankind gave it away to something else.

Mark 4:15 ...Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

• Satan took the word from Adam's heart which he received from God, and caused man to sin.

Luke 6:45-46 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

• To say "Lord" to Jesus and not do His will is to LIE.
• If He is our LORD, then we LOVE Him.
• And if we love God we will seek to please God.
• Many so-called christians do not seek to please God.
• They live very loose and sinful lives.

• When God repaired the problem with Adam, he removed the fig leaf apron and ...

Gene 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

• God CLOTHED Adam and Eve.

• Man's heart is naked
• And man has covered it up and the heart is not CLOTHED

• The Book of REVELATION addresses 7 churches and speaks to the HEARTS of the congregations in terms of LOVE for God.

Reve 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works;

Reve 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

• Interestingly, God says that leaving the first LOVE must be overcome and the reward for overcoming is eating of the tree of life.
• This takes us to GENESIS and the GARDEN, from which man fell into sin
• ...Where God introduced the topic of man's fall into sin by explaining that He made man and woman to become one flesh, by giving to each other something that nobody else should ever receive
• intimacy.

Reve 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. (A NOTE OF THE HEART)

• He told Thyatira that they had Jezebel in the church teaching people to commit fornication.
• Jezebel painted herself up for another man besides her husband Another doctrine is another RELIGION in God's mind
• and that means ANOTHER GOD.
• God is a jealous God as much as a husband or wife is a jealous spouse when the one they love gives their initimacy to another
• what you BELIEVE in is what your HEART goes towards
• and GOD wants your heart, for you were made by Him for Him, as woman was made of man for man.
• People may not believe in Jesus, but that does not change the fact that JESUS made them for Himself, and that they are committing spiritual adultery.
• (People may not believe in God, but that does not change the fact that God is real).
• you heart is made for God.

III. UNCLOTHED HEARTS

• Mankind's heart is naked.
• . And man covers this up
• Man PUTS ON a front
• A MASK
• A PRETENSE
• The word HYPOCRITE comes from the greek word which means a MASK.
• A hypocrite COVERS UP by pretending they are righteous when in fact they are wicked.

• God hates hypocrisy so much because, to Him, it is adultery and covering adultery up.

• God's WORD goes into the HEART.

Roma 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

• To be a hypocrite is to BOTH not believe the Word, and to LIE with the MOUTH saying one DOES believe.
• the two parts of salvation, HEART and MOUTH, are then acting as a DOUBLE SIN.

• Real relationship with God is FROM THE HEART
• When the WORD is in the HEART then one WILL live right for God
• Is TRUE LOVE FOR GOD in your christianity?
• not just religion, but LOVE for God?
• where is your HEART?

• when people get hatred in their HEARTS and jealousy and backbiting, their hearts are not given to God

Reve 3:14-18 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, [HE KNOWS THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART] that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.[THEIR LOVE WAS NOT WAXED TOTALLY COLD, NOR DID IT BURN FOR CHRIST] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou artnaked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and

• He was talking about their HEARTS
• their hearts were naked
• they COVERED UP with "fig leaf aprons" of materialism

Jesus said that they were naked

• they were putting dirt under a carpet
• Jesus is the WORD and He could not get into their hearts

Reve 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

• The WORD, Jesus, cannot get into the HEARTs of these people
• then He speaks of His love for them...

Reve 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

IV. SPIRITUAL FORNICATION AND ADULTERY

• Adultery and Fornication are actually stealing and thievery.

• FORNICATION

• Sexual relations before and outside the marriage bond
• The most precious thing you can give to another is your intimacy.
• Intimacy is never meant for more than ONE PERSON in your life.
• Adultery kills the heart of the innocent spouse because something has been given to another which truly belongs to the spouse alone.
• Instinctively, each of us knows deep down inside that a person shows their deepest love by giving themselves to one and only one person in the world.
• To give that to ANOTHER person is to treat it carelessly and to STEAL it from the one God meant for you to be with.
• Poeple have killed others due to this problem.

• The Bible says...

1Cor 7:4-5 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other

• When a man or woman gives his/her body to anybody who comes along, they are ROBBING it from the one meant for them.
• Intimacy is linked with real love.
• One will keep themselves for the person they are to marry, and never allow anybody else to ever have it because this is one thing that is special above everything else.
• And to give it to any old person is rob someone of something special that nobody else should ever have.
• The one you really care about should receive something from you that nobody else will ever receive from you.
• That shows the person that they are needed.
• They are special above every other person.
• The one you care about is the one you give the most special thing to.
• And you wait for marriage because it is too special to throw around in a relationship that might not last. And marriage is something you stick with. If you do not marry the one you give yourself to, then you have given something away that another was supposed to have alone.

• When you give something to someone that nobody will ever receive, it makes that person know that YOU NEED THAT ONE.
• Everyone NEEDS to be NEEDED.
• We are all 1/2
• Therefore all of us NEED another
• And ONLY ONE with us makes us one
• You are not to have more than ONE person, because three or more halves do not make just ONE.
• When one says they really love you so they want your gift, but you are not married, then that one is a liar. For TRUE love will make sure the union is bound in marriage saying to all the world that they are joined, before one gives that gift away.

• That one knows you think of them as being so precious that you would give them something nobody else will ever receive.
• That satisfies the need to be needed
• And when BOTH receive something from each other that nobody else will ever receive, then LOVE is BINDING such people together.
• LOVE is cord which NOTHING can break.
• The CIRCLE of love holds them indestructably.

• ADULTERY
• When you have given something to someone which nobody else should have, and then give it to ANOTHER one, too, the heart of the first one is SO BROKEN, because that one now KNOWS they are not needed. They experience worst AGONY.
• And everyone NEEDS to be NEEDED.
• That which is ONE'S possession, and not another's, has been given to another!

• GOD GAVE US HIS HOLY GHOST
• And we give him our spirit/heart
• He gives HIS SPIRIT and we give OUR SPIRITS.
• To refuse to live for God is to commit fornication against the One you are meant to give your heart to.
• He created you for Himself. Its so special to know that nobody received from your spouse what was given to you. The reason this and the last generation will have so many marriage breakups is due to the RAMPANT fornication lifestyles of the unmarried.
• such, when married, receive something that was given to one or maybe MANY others.
• back in the heart of that one is a MISSING GAP
• and it cannot ever be truly filled, even though true love is given from then on and never to another.
• they never received something that was meant for them alone
• they were betrayed

Many have been in the world in sin, and committed fornication and adultery.

• that is why Paul mentions this:

1Cor 6:9-11 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

• God can CLEANSE you if you've lived a life of sin
• make you as though you never gave anything to anyone.

• we are God's temples
• only God's Spirit belongs with the Temple of God
• you were made for God

Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

• Give your heart to God
• Your FAITH belongs to Him and no one else.
• to walk away from Him is to leave Him without the one thing no one else should ever have from you
• you will believe in something
• you will serve a master of some kind.
• let it be God today!
